Who are you and what do you do?
I am a solopreneur, digital and social media marketing consultant, personal branding coach, content creator and curator, board member, volunteer, travel consultant, foodie, blogger, wife, friend, and lover of all things Charlotte (to name a few).

What will you be teaching at TechCon this year?
I will be teaching two sessions, one on personal branding and the other on social media time management.
Personal branding is such a hot topic right now yet so few people take it seriously until they experience a missed opportunity (a dream job, a client, etc.). Your online personal brand, or lack thereof, speaks volumes. Everyone uses the internet to find a solution to a problem, whether they’re looking to hire someone for an open position at their company, a product or service, a business partner, an investor, etc. If you have something to give, if you have something to sell, you want to be found. But you don’t want to justbe found. You want them to find the best you, the one that will help them with whatever problem someone is looking to get solved by an expert like you. This is why you must take control of your personal brand. People do business with those they know, like, and trust. If they can’t find anything on you, they will find someone else to help them with their problem. The session will cover how to best present yourself online, provide valuable information, and tactics on how to build their personal brand one day at a time.
The second session I’m teaching is on social media time management. This one is geared towards small business owners, entrepreneurs, and solopreneurs who have a lot on their plates and know they have to integrate social media into their marketing plans but are overwhelmed with all of the platforms that they need to manage, content creation and curation, daily interactions with fans/customers, and then some! I will provide them with tools that will make their lives easier, check-lists, and other necessary advice on embracing social media instead of letting it overwhelm them.

When did you first know you were geeky?
I was born this way.
Star Wars or Star Trek?
Neither.
Choose 5 people from any moment of time to have dinner and drinks with. Who would they be and why?
1) Bill Clinton - He was my first president in the US and I've had a crush on him for 21 years. We'll go to Luna's Living Kitchen, drink green juice, and eat all things raw.
2) Taylor Swift - She's a bit of a promotional genius and I want to get into her head. And then have a dance off to Shake It Off. She'll win.
3) Peter the Great - I've been fascinated by him since before I could walk. He also build my birth city, which happens to be the most beautiful city in the world.
